Sri Lanka’s east coast declared safe
Tuesday, January 12th, 2010, by Tom ArmstrongThe British Foreign Office (FCO) has further relaxed it’s travel advice with regards to travel in Sri Lanka’s fascinating eastern provinces. This puts the fabulous beaches at Pasikudah and Kalkudah back on the travel map. Vibrant towns such as Amparai and Batticaloa are also officially considered safe again.

East Coast Beaches back on the menu soon?
Friday, July 3rd, 2009, by Tom ArmstrongWith war finally a thing of the past in Sri Lanka, great excitement and interest is being expressed towards areas which were previously deemed ‘off-limits’ by various travel advisories. It is surely a matter of time before the British Foreign Office revises it’s stance on travelling to certain areas of the island.
